Suzuki’s EV concept model eVX has debuted at India’s Auto Expo 2023, which runs from January 13-18 (public days) and includes press days on January 11 and 12.
The eVX is an electric concept SUV and Suzuki’s first global strategic EV, scheduled to be introduced to the market by 2025 and reportedly similar to the S-Cross.
It’s 60kWh battery can provide 550km range (modified Indian driving cycle or MIDC) and is about 4.3 metres long, 1.6m high and 1.8m wide, with no other details provided.
“The eVX is a battery electric vehicle (BEV) model that combines Suzuki’s strong 4×4 DNA with the advanced features of the latest BEVs,” the brand says.
“The exterior is designed to be instantly recognisable as a Suzuki SUV. In addition, it aims to carry forward the brand’s 4×4 legacy into the new electric era to deliver a true Suzuki SUV driving experience.”
Suzuki Group president Toshihiro Suzuki says it’s their first global strategic EV.
“We are promoting a range of global measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” he adds.
“Suzuki will continue providing valuable products to our customers around the world by optimising them for the way different people live and drive.”
