Peugeot New Zealand has confirmed the new 308 GT plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) will be arriving in showrooms in late December, following the 308 petrol hatchback models in late October.
The fully electric Peugeot e308 hatchback and e308 station wagon (SW) are expected to arrive in New Zealand dealerships later in 2023, following their European market debut.
Peugeot says it is the first European manufacturer to offer a 100% electric station wagon in its range of vehicles.
The e308 and e308 SW will be powered by a brand-new electric engine, developing 115 kW and with a range of more than 400 km (WLTP cycle) depending on the level of equipment, with an average fuel consumption of 12.7 kWh says the manufacturer.
A new 18-inch aluminium wheel has been specifically developed for the e308 and e308 SW. Its aerodynamic efficiency is particularly well designed to optimise performance says Peugeot.
The battery is also new. It is a 54 kWh high-voltage battery (51 kWh useful) with a new chemical composition of 80% Nickel – 10% Manganese – 10% Cobalt, which operates at 400 volts.
Further details on local pricing and specifications will be available closer to launch time later next year.
