Two small EVs are destined for New Zealand – one needing Government approval to proceed.
Toyota doesn’t think a big EV is needed for the daily commute and is pushing the Government to let it roll out a fleet of mini EVs on NZ roads.
EVs and Beyond took the Toyota C+pod two-seater for a spin and find it meets all the criteria for a good city car or for places like Waiheke Island.
The other small EV featured in EVs and Beyond is the Mitsubishi eK X EV (also sold as the Nissan Sakura).
It adds a resource-light small size to the package and is being considered for markets outside Japan where it is known as a “kei” car.
