Shell Lubricants has confirmed an ongoing supply agreement which will see the brand’s oil used by the Hyundai Motors New Zealand dealer network.
The local partnership is an extension of an existing sponsorship announced in 2021 between Shell Lubricants and long-time Hyundai New Zealand ambassador Hayden Paddon supporting his local rally programme.
“Shell and Hyundai have a longstanding global partnership whereby they have collaborated on lubricant development specifically for Hyundai vehicles,” Shell Lubricants business manager Jason Steele says
“We are proud to be able to announce our association with Hyundai Motors NZ as it shows their trust in our product.”
“To have a supplier agreement with an OEM is the ultimate tick of approval, one which is a demonstration of trust between the two organisations.
“Thanks to that global partnership, Shell Lubricants is able to supply products specifically for Hyundai vehicles and they have faith we can deliver,” Steele says.
“It’s all about credibility and reliability. If our product wasn’t up to it, then there’s no way we’d be able to engage in such a partnership.”
Hyundai Motors NZ’s decision to engage with Shell Lubricants as a preferred supplier is also helped with bulk oil restocking via the TransDiesel ‘Pump-Over Truck’ delivery service.
“We support the Hyundai business with bulk deliveries to the dealer network and continue to improve our support with continuity of supply with tools such as our Status Bulk Tank monitoring programme,” Steele says.
“This system allows us to manage bulk tank levels from a web portal so the workshop can focus on servicing, as they have peace of mind knowing they will never run out of oil,” he says.
In addition to facilitating bulk oil delivery, TranDiesel supports the Shell/Hyundai business with an in-house technical support team, backed by Shell’s product engineers and specialists.
Shell Lubricant products are available at 16 TransDiesel branches around New Zealand.
