One of the most anticipated new-vehicle releases of 2022, the heavily revised Ford Ranger, is set to make its debut to the New Zealand public later this month.
The Ranger is set to premier at the Hutchwilco Boat Show on May 12-15. It will be on display at two sites in Hall No. 1; EX26 (the Ford stand) and 177 (the NZ Fishing News stand).
Attendees will be among the first in the country to see the new Ranger up close. The models on display are the XLT, Sport, and Wildtrak.
“The excitement is certainly building for the Next-Gen Ranger,” says Simon Rutherford, Managing Director Ford New Zealand.
“And we’re excited to be at The Boat Show for the first time. It’s an ideal event for the New Zealand public debut given the majority of our customers choose the Ranger due to its towing capabilities; for the trailer at the work site as well taking the boat to the beach.
“Its position as the number one new vehicle in New Zealand for more than seven years now comes down to its overall capability that matches the Kiwi lifestyle.”
Ford New Zealand boasts that more than 3000 orders for the next-gen Ranger have already been placed, adding that first deliveries are expected to commence in late June.
“With more than 3,000 orders already placed for the Next-Gen Ranger, we anticipate quite a few people making a special trip to the show just to see them,” Rutherford adds.
As previously reported, pricing for the new Ranger kicks off at $46,990, extending all the way to $89,990 for the flagship Ranger Raptor.
Of the models that will appear at the boat show, the XLT, Sport, and Wildtrak start at $56,990 (XLT 4×2) and $75,490 (both Sport 4×4 V6 and Wildtrak 4×4 bi-turbo) respectively.
