The Mitsubishi Express Van range has become the latest victim of global manufacturing supply constraints with the Australian arm being advised that production of the short wheelbase versions will cease in May 2022, and no more long wheel base versions are now available from the factory.
Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited says it expects to run out of long wheelbase Express stock mid-year but says it will have enough supply of the short wheelbase model to maintain sales until the end of 2022.
Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand (MMNZ) head of marketing and corporate affairs Reece Congdon told AutoTalk this morning that he expects current supply of the Express Van to cease for this market in the second half of 2022.
MMNZ currently markets a short wheelbase and long wheelbase Express, both are supplied with a 2-litre turbodiesel engine and automatic transmission.
No decision has been made or yet advised about a future replacement.
