MG Motor New Zealand has just announced pricing for the facelift 2022 MG ZS EV SUV which will begin dealer deliveries in the third quarter of this year.
Two specifications will be available, the entry-level Excite ZS EV model priced from $49,990 and the more upscale Essence ZS EV model priced from $52,990.
Equipped with a 51kWh battery the facelift ZS EV has more range than its predecessor, up to 320km on a single full charge thanks to an updated electric motor and enhanced battery management electronics.
Both the Excite and the Essence will feature a 7-inch virtual cluster dash, and a brand new floating 10.1-inch infotainment screen.
The exterior redesign is punctuated by 21-module LED auto-dimming headlights and nine-module LED tail lights, milled 17-inch alloy rims and a unique front visage that conceals an updated Type 2 charging port.
MG Pilot will provide the new ZS EV with a complete set of active driver safety aids, including Intelligent High Beam Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Lane Keeping, Speed Assistance System and more says the brand.
Customers who register interest online to secure one of the first 500 vehicles will receive a $500 credit from the brand towards the cost of an MG ChargeHub wall box which enables faster charging times for all EVs regardless of brand.
Its Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) also guarantees a seamless charging experience for all users now and into the future
The new ZS EV will be backed by a national network of MG Motor dealers and will be covered by MG’s 7-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, which also includes the high-voltage battery.
