Mercedes-Benz New Zealand has issued a recall for selected versions of its popular Vito commercial.
The recall notice states that in some vehicles, “the display function of the reversing camera may be impaired”.
The recall impacts Vito models built between 2017 and 2020. Mercedes encourages those with an affected Vito to contact their local Mercedes dealer.
The announcement follows several recalls issued this year for the Vito’s big brother, the Sprinter.
In July, the Sprinter was recalled over a similar reversing camera issue, with Mercedes at the time linking the problem to an issue with the model’s software.
The following month, the Sprinter was once again recalled; this time over trailer brackets vulnerable to deterioration and incorrectly fitted wiring harnesses.
