Ford New Zealand has opened the online reservations for its heavily revised Everest 7-seater SUV, based on the updated Ranger ute. And with that, the brand has also confirmed pricing and range details.
The Everest will be offered in three different trim levels, with two different engine options. And pricing kicks off at $71,990 plus on-road costs.
The range starts with the Trend, which comes equipped with Ford’s 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine and a familiar 10-speed automatic (all models feature the same transmission).
As standard, the Trend comes with a 12-inch portrait touchscreen, a digital cluster, a black cabin with leather inserts, 18-inch wheels, and a fascia treatment similar to the Ranger XLT.
The mid-spec Sport starts at $79,490. It’s the most affordable model to come with Ford’s 3.0-litre PowerStroke V6 diesel.
It can be easily spotted via its striking black trim, which includes the grille, 20-inch wheels, window trim, and more. It also gets ‘Sport’ labelling on its upholstery.
The Platinum tops the range, priced from $84,990. It comes with the same powertrain as the Sport, while adding a new chrome-laden grille (with ‘Platinum’ lettering on the leading edge of the bonnet) and machine-face 21-inch wheels.
Inside the Platinum adds ambient lighting, heated and ventilated front seats with electric adjustment, leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and numerous Platinum insignia.
Along with opening online orders for the Everest today, Ford has also confirmed online orders are open for the Ranger. Everest models are scheduled to arrive at dealers in September.
“Ford New Zealand is also confirming online reservations for both next generation Ranger and next generation Everest opens today, supplementing the offline order bank and giving customers the ability to shop at their leisure,” says Ford in its press statement.
“Customers can configure their desired Ranger or Everest and reserve at ford.co.nz and will then be directed to or can choose a Dealer location most convenient for delivery.” “Online Reservations reflect Ford’s ongoing efforts to meet what customers want in their buying experience on their terms” adds Ford New Zealand managing director Simon Rutherford.
