FleetPartners has achieved Toitū carbonreduce Certification in New Zealand, saying it’s among the first fleet management organisation to achieve this certification and be carbon neutral certified in Australia.
Part of ASX-listed Eclipx Group, FleetPartners says the certification shows the group’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.
It also means Eclipx holds active environmental certifications in all regions in which it operates.
“As one of New Zealand’s leading providers of vehicle fleets for businesses across New Zealand, we have a responsibility to commit to reducing our own environmental impact and that of our customers,” says managing director Russell Webber.
”We are passionate about taking real measures to protect the environment in which we work and live.”
Toitū Envirocare leads positive change in New Zealand through its science and environmental carbon and environmental certification programmes that give organisations the tools to reduce their carbon emissions and environmental impact.
The Toitū carbonreduce certification requires businesses to measure, manage, and reduce their carbon emissions, and they can also choose to offset their emissions.
This year FleetPartners formally committed to measuring and reducing the carbon footprint of its New Zealand operations, including tracking, measuring, and reporting on carbon emission reduction progress each year, with a future goal of achieving carbon zero.
FleetPartners New Zealand has been transitioning its own vehicle fleet to low and zero emission vehicles.
A working group is also in place to support initiatives in the FleetPartners office locations to reduce environmental impact while at work.
For more than five years through its work with customers, FleetPartners has helped transition many vehicle fleets to more sustainable alternatives.
Its ‘5 Step Journey to Carbon Zero’ is a comprehensive and strategic approach which helps customers achieve their carbon emission targets through the transition to sustainable vehicles.
