Christchurch-based online driver training platform, Fleetcoach, has been crowned the best fleet safety product at the 2023 Australasian Fleet Champions Awards.
Hosted by the road safety charity, Brake, the annual event celebrates the achievements of fleet organisations working to reduce road deaths and injuries and improve fleet sustainability.
Fleetcoach chief operating officer Craig Cockerton says the awards evening brings together the best in the industry from across Australasia, so to be named the winner was great recognition for the company.
“It was fantastic to be in a room of around one hundred people from both sides of the Tasman, who are all dedicated to improving road safety and sustainability outcomes for fleets, workplaces and their wider communities,” Cockerton says.
“To walk away with the title of best fleet safety product is a wonderful affirmation from our clients and industry peers.
“Our training invites drivers to be ‘force multipliers’, giving them the skills and tools to be safer drivers for themselves and easily share those skills with friends and family,” he says.
Brake spokesperson Caroline Perry acknowledged Fleetcoach along with the other award winners and category sponsors.
“Thanks to all involved in supporting these awards, and congratulations to all the winners. This evening is a great opportunity to celebrate the great work happening in the industry to make fleets safer and more sustainable.”
Fleetcoach was also the sponsor of the Sustainable Journeys category and congratulates the winner Queenstown Lakes District Council in addition to the two highly commended category entrants which were FleetPartners and Auckland City Council.
