A free Electric Vehicles in Business Fleets webinar on November 11 features ACA Research director Dr Steve Nuttall discussing the largest EV adoption study within the Australia fleet marketplace.
About 177 participants representing a range of private and public sector entities operating almost 70,000 vehicles are covered in the report, the webinar run by the Australasian Fleet Management Association (AfMA) from noon to 1pm.
A range of barriers holding fleets back on the journey to EV adoption are identified, including high upfront costs (for vehicles and infrastructure), and limited options (particularly for light commercial vehicles).
However, one in three fleets have overcome these challenges to start the journey with 36% acquiring EVs, and 26% adding infrastructure.
While 29% of organisations can be considered mature there are a range of surprising insights, the AfMA says.
Electric Vehicle Council chief executive Behyad Jafari and AGL Energy EV lead Kristian Handberg join Nuttall in a panel discussion.
