The European Car of the Year 2023 Jeep Avenger 1st Edition is priced from about NZ$70,000 (A$64,794) (36,500 pounds) on the road (OTR) in Europe where pre-orders for it have opened.
Jeep’s first fully electric SUV has about 400km range, 115kW power, 260Nm torque, and is available in three colours – Sun, Graphite and Volcano.
The full Avenger range launches in June.
Jeep Avenger is fitted with a Combined Charging System Type 2 (CCS 2) socket supporting 100kW rapid charging, enabling zero to 80% charge in just over half an hour, or five minutes charge to get the average European daily usage of 45km.
It comes in Europe with a black roof, privacy glass, 18-inch alloy wheels and a three-year vehicle warranty (or battery warranty of 160,934km in eight years).
SelecTerrain in six modes (Normal, Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud and Sand) and Hill Descent Control are standard which, together with its outstanding approach and departure angles and the vehicle’s ground clearance, bring impressive levels of capability to the segment, says Jeep.
Safety and convenience features include a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen Infotainment system, DAB, voice recognition, Apple Carplay/Android Auto, 360-degree parking sensors and 180-degree rear camera, level two autonomous drive (ACC with lane centering and traffic jam assist), wireless smartphone charger and keyless entry and go.
It also comes with blind spot monitor, an auto dimming rear view mirror, hands free power liftgate, traffic sign recognition with intelligent speed assist and rain sensors.
Since its launch, the new Jeep Avenger marks the introduction of a portfolio of new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) for the brand in Europe.
